3D machining and surface contouring capabilities allow MMB to build complete mold bases that have surfaced cavity and cores. These molds demand surface milling before the finishing procedures due to stress relieving and material warping. The wide range of CNC equipment MMB offers allows the most difficult contour to be cut while holding the tightest tolerances.

MMB will also 3D machine and surface contour as a service to the mold and die cast industry. We use either a vertical or horizontal mill that can handle the largest molds.

Our customer can dictate what type, size and how full they would like the job milled. This can be essential with the industry’s demanding deadlines. Receiving a completed base that has the cavity and core roughed and stress relieved gives a jump to a project that is falling behind. Or, is your machine window just too small?
